Hi,
I'm using Disclaimit v2.7 on SBS2003 and everything it's ok.

My customer is using an iphone to manage emails using the "applet" Exchange on the phone (i don't know the name of that thing!!!, but it's not imap it's not pop3 ....)

The emails sent via iphone are not "signed" even if they are flowing into exchange .. I found them in my sent items.

Could be a licence problem (reached the maxium user)?

Hi Carlo,

if you mean the built-in support for Exchange messaging, it's using the ActiveSync mechanism, like Windows Mobile.

Please do the following:

- Enable diagnostic logging (DisclaimIt Manager->Computer object->Right-click->Properties->Diagnostics logging) to file only for all categories, log level Maximum.
- Send (or let send) one or more test messages from the iPhone.
- Disable diagnostic logging.
- Send me the two log files (DsclMpe.log and DsclMgmt.log), located in <InstallDir>\Bin. In addition, also send me your configuration file, Config.xml, located in <InstallDir>\Data. Also tell me the address of the sender and recipient of the message(s) in question.

yes it's that ....

I've activated the logging options as soon as possible i will post the log file.

Resolution:

Carlo's problem was caused by:
1.) The Iphone generates rich text messages.
2.) The recipient of the messages was configured by the sender as being able to receive rich text messages.
3.) MXS 2003 in its default configuration will not convert rich text messages to standard plain text/HTML text messages if the recient is configured to support rich text messages. Such rich text messages - when sent when over an SMTP transport - are SMTP-messages which contains the original TNEF-message as an attachment (WinMail.dat).
4.) DisclaimIt 2.7 does not support processing of rich text messages. This requires DisclaimIt 3.x or later.

The solution to his problem was just to configure MXS 2003 to always convert rich text messages to standard plain text/HTML text messages.
