I never got any response from this list on this, but after 1 direct inquiry
just now, I decided I could post my solution back to the list for others. I
finally figured it out with help from folks on a win2000.advanced_server
list.
I was able to run it as a Generic Service. I installed SL4NT on both nodes,
and it installed a service to automatically run on each machine. Then from
the Cluster Administrator tool, I created a "generic service" resource with
the wizard that comes up when I choose "new resource". To get this to work,
it was important to use the correct file name for "Service name", which you
can find out from its listing in the Services console. You also have to set
the service to "manual" in the services console so that the cluster can stop
& start it.
