I have a 2.1 SL4NT server going. I wish to move it from NT4.0 to W2K on

another server with SL4NT 3.0. The old SL4NT server will be retired.

Is there any documentation/help available to migrate the current database

(MSSQL7.x) and settings (rules, etc.)?

Thanks

to migrate from v2.1 to v3.0 (in different computers) is easy: Just export

your current configuration on your v2.1 installation to a text file using

the SL4NT Manager (Computer object->Context menu->Backup...) and restore the

configuration to your v3.0 installation from the text file (Computer

object->Context menu->Restore...).

Regarding migration of your current database: What do you want to do?

Migrate to SQL 2000? SL4NT's use of an ODBC database has changed between

v2.1 and v3.0 insofar as there're are new features available but you're not

forced to use them in which case your old db can be used along with v3.0.
