Hi,
from this morning we can't able to open the DisclaimIT. The software is installed on virtual server with operating system Windows Server 2012R2
When I try to open the software is displayed this error: "MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly. Name: DisclaimIT Manager CLSID: FX:{5ddaf797-6996-4c33-95f2-1d74efd6b713}" (I have attached the picture with the error).
I have upgraded from 5.2 to 5.3, and I have reinstalled the software, but the problem is not solved.
Can you help me?

Hi tommaso,

please try the following:

1 - Make a backup copy of the directory <InstallDir>\Data\Configuration
2 - Uninstall the current version of DisclaimIt
3 - Install the latest version
4 - Restore the files you saved in step 1.)

Hi Franz,
I tried to do what you have reported in the previous post, but I didn't solve the problem. Also opening DisclaimIT from the MMC console, I receive the same error (while I opening any other snap-in from the console I don't have problems).
Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi Franz,
we have solved the previous problem, but we have a new issue. Now, the console starts correctly, but when we click on the voice "disclaimIT" (upper left side, under "Console Root") is displayed the following error: "Failed to connect to server "name_server"; the network name cannot be found (I have attached a file: Error disclaimIT.docx (39kb) downloaded 53 time(s).).
The server name displayed in the message is correct and it is solved by DNS. The folder "Logs" are empty.
Can you help us?

Hi tommaso,

DisclaimIt Manager tries to connect to the network share 'DisclaimItData' (\\<server_name>\DisclaimItData), which publishes the directory <InstallDir>\Data, on the specified server. Please check if this network share exists.
