We'd like to rotate our syslog file more often than daily (e.g. every =
four
hours). Are there any special steps we should take to do this so as not =
to
interfere with logging?

E.g., can we

1) simply rename the file and wait a few minutes and/or until a new file
with the old name appears? 2) Or do we need to stop sl4, rename the =
file
and then restart it? (Can we do this programmatically?)

Or...?
