I currently have version 1.1 of your product running on my servers.
Recently I tried to use the "Log to ODBC Database" Action, and am =
running
into some difficulties. After attempting to insert a partiularly long =
row,
the program does not continute inserting rows into the table.

The same Rule has another action which logs to a text file. This =
continues
to receive the entries, but the database does not.

Can you shed some light on this matter? Any suggestions or help would be
greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Bill Case

I have a similar problem, with 2.1. I log to an MS SQL 7-server.
Tried to manipulate the length of the messagetext-field but long entries are
being truncated.
Is there a max length?

No, there's no max length for the supported messagetext-field size. But
there is a max length of received syslog messages of 1024 bytes, this means
that if a syslog message is received which is larger than 1024 bytes, the
syslog datagram is truncated.

How large did you define your messagetext-field?
How many chars are stored in the field? When does truncation happen?
