Hi,

I am using SL4NT to log a variety of Cisco routers and PIX but am having
problems with the 3600 series. The server is receiving the syslog messages,
I have captured the UDP packets on the destination machine, but SL4NT does
not seem to want to record them. Do you know off issues between SL4NT and
certain Cisco routers or IOS's?

Neil

there's indeed a problem with IOS 12.1 and higher. It's a weird bug which
was confirmed by a cisco engineer. I don't know if it was already fixed
(starting with which IOS version), but there's an easy workaround:

At the Cisco router, try adding a logging source interface command and
specify the
interface pointing toward the syslog server (SL4NT).
