Hi

All of a sudden (actually we don't know why), SL4NT v3.2 has started
flooding the WINNT directory with .tmp files - up to 65.534 at a time.
Rather annoying ....

The configuration says that, f.ex. the pix syslog should be stored in
F:\logfiles\pix, but that does not work anymore.

Any ideas, anyone ?

Hi John,

SL4NT will log received data to .TMP files in case that the configured log
files can't be created/opened for write.

Please check the NTFS permission of F:\logfiles\pix and make sure that the
account (LocalSystem) under which SL4NT runs has Full Access.

Hi Franz

You were abolutely right about nfts rights.

It turned out that the system account has been removed from the log-folder
structure.

By the way, is there an option for specify a different location for tmp
files other than SystemRoot ?

the use of SystemRoot as location for alternate log files (in case SL4NT is
unable to use the configured location), is currently hard-coded and can't be
configured.
