I dunno what happened but I purchased SL4NT yesterday and now after working

great for about 20 days I can't even send a test message. I checked my SMTP

log and the messages are not even reaching my mail server, nor are syslog

messages being logged to a file.

I dunno what happened. I'm going to restart the NT box (probably piss off

some users) and hope for the best. I already tried stopping and starting

the service under control panel.

Any clues?

Thanks,

-Bob Heathcote

Hi, I don't know what happened but seconds after I chose SHUTDOWN/RESTART

new messages came through. After it finished booting it is working fine

again.

What concerns me is I missed about 12 hours of logging and did not have a

clue until I checked the logs this AM.

Thanks,

-Bob

- Did you make any changes to the configuration settings of SL4NT?

-Are there any SL4NT related messages in the Event Log?

While SL4NT seemed not to be working, did you try to send test messages to

SL4NT? Are you sure that the problem was not related to your syslog message

source? Which version of NT+SP is SL4NT running on?
