I have installed the SL4NT application on a server and now I want to manage

it from my laptop.

I tried copying the msc file over to my laptop and putting it into the

system32 folder along with the rest of the msc's but no luck.

I keep getting "Snap-in failed to initialize" errors when I click on the

SL4NT item in the scope pane.

It also wont show up if I try to add it using the snap-in manager.

Any ideas?

Hi Mike,

you must install the "SL4NT Manager & Documentation" component for being

able to remotely manage a SL4NT service instance. Start the SL4NT Setup and

make sure that only the "SL4NT Manager & Documentation" component is

selected on the "Select Components" wizard page.
