Hello,

I'd like to be able to organize log files based on source host name, host

ip, domain name, or any source/sender identifiers (just like Kiwi syslog and

syslog-win32) either by filename or directory hierarchy. Is there a feature

I can use to do this?

Thanks,

Min

Hi Franz,

Thanks for the response.

Two more questions:

1. When will the next version be available?

2. Does the SL4NT world-wide license include the right to distribute (to our

customers) with our software product?

Thanks,

Min

I'm sorry to tell you that the current version does not support this

feature. But it's on the feature list for the next version...

Q2.

No. A license is limited to the licensee (=company).

Hi Min,

I gave you an incorrect answer yesterday when telling you that this cannot

be done with v3.2.

You can implement it the following way:

- Create one 'Log to file' action for each desired destination file.

- Create one rule for each source/sender (filter on source address) and

associate the relevant action with this rule.
