hi.

i'm indenting to use sl4nt 2.1 to log syslog-messages from a firewall.

beyond actions, i configured it to create a daily logfile in the default

forwarded syslog message format.

problem:

i can see incoming syslog messages in the performance monitor, but sl4nt

doesn't create a logfile in the specified diretory.

any ideas appreciated,

jcbo

Did you create a rule and did you associated the 'Log-to-file' action with

this rule?

If yes, remove all conditions. Easiest way to to: Delete the rule, create a

new one but don't set any conditions, just associate the action with this

rule.

If no, create a rule and associate the action with it.

This 'no-condition' rule should now log every incoming message to the log

file you specified in the 'Log-to-file' action.
