We have been running for a while on the new DisclaimIt 4.x and havn't really had any problems til now. The DisclaimIt Manager will not open now and is giving the following error:

The version of the DisclaimIt Services on the server you are trying
to connect to is 0.0.0. The management of this version is not supported.

We have a 100 licenses and haven't added anyone in months. It does look like it is ready resource mailboxes are part of the licenses being taken ... is there a way to eliminate those?

Update as of 7/2/2010 12:30pm MST: Just purchased another 100 licenses and put the file where it is supposed to following all the instructions ... same Licensee name and all ... still the GUI won't open and the server keeps saying invalid license.

We are running Exchange 2007/Server 2008 Standard

Any ideas would be helpful!

Thanks,

-Todd

Hi Todd,

which version of DisclaimIt 4.x are you using?

Please try to restart the service "DisclaimIt Management". Are there any relevant entries in the Application event log afterwards?

Franz,

We are using version 4.5. I followed the steps in your email:

Please do the following:

-Save the complete content (all subdirectories and all files) of the directory <InstallDir>\Data\Configuration to a backup location.
-Uninstall v4.5.
-Install v4.5
-Copy the saved content back to <InstallDir>\Data\Configuration.

That has seemed to resolve this for the time. It does show are new and old licesenses (adding up to 200 - 2 seperate files).

Let me know if you happen to find any information into this ... would hate to have to uninstall and reinstall each time?

Thanks,

-Todd

I'll check out if there's a problem caused by upgrading from v4.2 to v4.5 and will let you know as soon as I know more...

Todd,

I was unable yet to reproduce the problem you experienced. As soon as another customer reports the same problem I will try to collect sufficient information to find the cause.
