I have had NT4SL v2.1 running on an NT box for over a year now with no

problems.

All of a sudden, the email feature stopped working, and I see "Event ID 35 -

SMTP service is not ready to accept email" errors in NT event viewer app

log.

I verified via a telnet seesion from the syslog server to the SMTP server,

that SMTP connectivity exists. It look slike the SL4NT SMTP client may be

having problems.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Jack,

please use a network packet monitor tool (e.g. W2K's Network Monitor ) =

to

capture the traffic between the syslog server and the SMTP server when =

SL4NT

tries to send an e-mail. Afterwards please send me the capture file for

further inspection.

Thanks,

Franz
